Frequently Asked Questions

How do we pay?

Deposit by cheque please, balance by cheque or cash on arrival.

Do you accept credit/debit cards?

At this moment we do not accept credit/debit cards though please contact us if you would prefer to pay this way as there are services we can use.

Who do we make cheques payable to?

Please make payable to: Leasefield Holidays

When can we arrive?

Your yurt will be ready for you after 4pm on the day of arrival. You are free to arrive earlier and enjoy the site but we cannot guarantee your yurt will be ready.

When do we have to leave?

We need you to be out of the yurt by 10am on the morning of your departure. If you wish to spend the final day at Leasefield we can store our belongings for you.

Is there mobile phone reception?
There is good reception for most mobile networks in the yurts.

Is there internet access?
There is no mains electric in the yurts but there is in the club house for charging phones/ laptops etc.. Internet access can be arranged in the main house for anyone who has an urgent need.

How is the site lit at night?
We have solar lights to illuminate paths and infrastructure. The yurts Lalapoon and toilets are lit by a combination of tea-light lanterns and solar powered lighting. One of the yurts has reading spot lamps.

What do we need to bring?

Very little: money and towels. We don’t provide towels so you need to bring your own. We provide you with a welcome pack which should give you everything you need whilst you settle in. We recommend that you bring waterproof boots as the farm can be muddy in places.

What about security?

 Access to the site is through an electronic gate. If you have valuables that you don’t want to carry with you they can be left in secure storage at the main house.

Is the deposit refundable if I have to change my plans?

Provided we can re-book the yurt, yes. If we can’t, we reserve the right to deduct an administration fee

Can we bring a dog?

We do allow dogs in one of the yurts provided there are no other guests that object. We reserve the right to charge a fee for a dog and you are responsible for your dog’s behaviour.

Can we swim in the lakes?

No! And definitely no drowning!

Can we fish in the Lakes?

 Yes

Who is this Rupert person anyway?

The Rupert refered to in the blog and in some of the photo’s is the large, amiable beast who is partner to Elaine, farther of Leo and brother in Law to Don and Victoria and owner of Leasefield Farm.  We must insist that you do not feed the Rupert.
