Where to start! We have had a very lovly time and really do not want to go home.
This is our second visit and we hope to be back soon. The meal on arrival was georgous, thank you. Also I never knew banana jam was so good. Zig the dog has had a fab time. The children have loved it. I could fill the book with everything I love about the place! It’s been a welcome break from the hectic life we live back home, feels like time has stopped still.
Thank you so much for everything, the place really reflects the lovely people you are.
We will see you again soon, love from Sue,Steve, Marla, Madeleine and Zig, 15th April, 2012

We’ve had a brilliant time. Thankyou for the welcome pack it was very welcome! The meal was gorgeous on Monday Eve: the area is beautiful, lots of wildlife to see and lots of places to walk around. All facilities excellent. Compost toilet “way to go”. Thank you so much. Hope to be back sometime.

Four girls in a yurt could spell disaster – however we had an amazing time and couldn’t have asked for more welcoming hosts.
Several things we have learnt:
- Girls can actually light fires
- You can cook a full English on a 2 ring stove (yes really!)
- Hair straighteners can be brought.
- Sarah has amazing built in night vision.
- Glamping is the way forward.
We can’t think of any negatives whatsoever, the cupcakes were really lovely and the welcome box was a really nice touch; we’ve never had that before. The “club house” is a fab added extra, nice to be able to have a shower after a long day – eating cream teas are exhausting but someone has to do it. Happy Easter – we will return Sarah, Laura, Niki and Lisa. Friday 6th April – Monday 9th April (Easter) 2012
Emma, Martin and Spud (the dog)
We have had a wonderfully relaxing stay in your yurt. It was warm and cosy even through the storms and awful weather. What a beautiful location you have, we couldn’t have asked for better. Spud spaniel has had a fab time.
PROS: Dog friendly, gated balcony with ownn table and chairs great. Spud thought this was his kingdom overlooking the sheep, we loved the Lalapoon, a fab spot overlooking your beautiful lake. Everything is well equipped. Clubhouse is a lovely touch, somewhere to relax if the weather is bad. Your welcome pack was lovely.
Overall we would love to come again, a great base for walking and sightseeing; totally relaxing.
IMPROVEMENTS: Hard to think of anything you could do to make the stay better …
Thanks for a lovely stay your warm welcome.

Had a very nice short break, even though the weather wasn’t good. Found a good bike trail at Oakehampton – Granite Way and Pub (Bears Inn). Had a really nice day on Bude beach, recommend Harlequins at Bude if you have children, great play centre.
Yurt is lovely and comfortable very warm with fire going;- home from home.
Wish we could stay longer just getting use to the slow pace of life.
Boys thought Yurt was great. Will be back. Thanks for the welcome pack.
Sarah and Luke (16th October 2011)
Luke’s 30th Birthday. Loved it! We didn’t quite know what to expect but everything was perfect the surroundings were perfect, the welcome pack very thoughtful, the Yurt beautiful, the log burner a god send and the open fires mesmerising. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Lisa, Adam, Eleanor and Arwen
What an amazing place what a brilliant find! We have never returned to the same place twice, but tempted to make an exception for this place! We loved every moment and were blessed with wonderful weather – gorgeous autumnal light during the day and clear starry skies at night but boy! What a storm on our last night and yes, yurts can clearly stand anything! Arwen’s favourite bit- toasting marshmallows; Eleanor’s favourite bit – the central fairy lights; Adam’s favourite bit, returning to a warm toasty yurt when cold outside! Lisa’s favourite bit, relaxing in the hammock with a book.
Thank you for your kind and friendly hospitality.

A new experience for us both – first time in a yurt. We have had a fantastic weekend in our warm and cosy hideaway. Loved the peace and quiet and the lovely views from the veranda. Lalapoon also great, sitting by the lake for our breakfast and a sunset BBQ. Looking forward to a return family visit in the spring, I know they would love it here. Thank you for the warm welcome.
Thanks to all

A fabulous experience. Relaxing, restful and rejuvenating. The standards you have set at Leasefield should be bench marks for the industry.
There is nothing we would have added. We wish you much more success. Next time we visit….it’s the Tipi.

We had a lovely time listening to the rain on the roof of the yurt at night. If you listened carefully you could hear the owls and the sheep as well. Our day would go something like this .. wake up in a comfy bed, eat breakfast and get changed. Head off ot the beach, eat lunch and come back to the yurt wet. Dry off, eat supper and start a campfire in the tipi and roast marshmallows!
Thank you so much! Everything was perfect right from the start including the welcome pack! we will miss the peace, enjoyment and the experience we got from staying here. I hope everyone else will have as good a time as we did. Missing this place already.

Thank you sooo much for an awesome time and a fantastic break. We all loved our yurt, and it’s sad to leave because it’s cozy and warm with everything super comfy. I love the fact that it was so hidden away and peaceful.
Everything we could have needed was here, giving us all peace of mind and meaning we could just sit back and relax. Overall it was an amazing experience and we would love to do it again. Ten times better than a hotel, hands down!! Even though the weather was bad at times, we still had a great time and the hospitality was lovely – thank you for being so thoughtful and kind!! This is truly a hidden gem which we would love to see again and to tell others about. Definitely going on the holiday top 10 list!!!
Thank you so much

If you have never experienced a yurt holiday, sample Leasefields. Why did I enjoy Yurting? Asides from the perfect country setting and the warm hospitality offered by owners Elaine and Rupert, I never once felt cold and my feet remained dry for the entire trip! After a long day sampling what Devon has to offer, you know you can go back to a dry, warm surrounding, light a wood burner and relax. As for the Yurts themselves, the bed was wonderfully comfy and the futons were cosy enough to snuggle up on with a good book when the rain came. Ladies if you plan on lighting the wood burner in the evenings, pack some dry shampoo. Trust me it will come in handy! Spend the day immersed in the Devonshire countryside (don’t forget to collect some logs for the fire on the along the way). Stop at the local shop on your way back and while away the afternoon sat by the lake with a glass of whatever you fancy and when you start to feel your tummy rumble, finish the evening next to the fire pit and light a BBQ. Captivate yourself in the charm and atmosphere that Leasfields has to offer. You will not regret it.
